Children's Ministry

The children at Riverside UMC are involved in many activities. One the last Sunday of each month, we collect pocket change for the Children's Sermon. The money is then placed in the Children's Ministry account. This funds our quarterly "Doing Missions" meetings which get the kids involved in hands-on mission work.

There are also annual Easter and Christmas parties. Vacation Bible School is a fun event in the summer each year. We follow Safe Sanctuary guidelines during all events. Come and join the fun! We have children from birth to 13 participating.

Youth Ministry

The youth at Riverside (5th through 12th grades) meet biweekly immediately following the second service on Sunday mornings. We hang out together, play games, discuss our faith, eat lunch, and have fun. Here are a few of the things we do:

• Mission work. Each year we go to Mountain TOP Outreach Ministries in the Cumberland Plateau. Mountain TOP's objectives are to meet the physical, social, and spiritual needs of the people of the Mountain region.
  
• Attend camps for middle or high school students at Beersheba Springs or Cedar Crest.
• Go to Nashville Sounds games together.
  
• Go Christmas caroling.
